What can electric car tuning change?

On a suitable electric car, tuning can change aspects of power delivery, response and acceleration. The available changes depend on the exact model and the tuning option offered for it.

The useful question is what can be achieved with your particular car. A figure advertised for another trim or battery specification should not be assumed to apply to yours. We discuss the expected changes before confirming a booking.

Which electric cars can be tuned?

The models below are the starting point for Hyperion’s electric-car tuning service. Each enquiry is checked individually; a model name alone does not confirm that every version is supported.

Can a Porsche Taycan be tuned?

Yes, selected first-generation Taycans are supported. The compatibility list includes Base, 4, 4S, GTS, Turbo and Turbo S applications with specified Performance Battery and Performance Battery Plus configurations.

Send your model year, trim and battery specification if known. Newer facelift cars and the Turbo GT are not automatically included in this shortlist. We confirm what is available for your car before discussing a quote.

Performance changes should be quoted for the same version of Taycan. Different batteries and drivetrain specifications can affect the result.

Can an Audi e-tron or e-tron GT be tuned?

Selected original Audi e-tron 50 quattro, 55 quattro and S models, along with original-generation e-tron GT quattro and RS models, are supported applications.

Audi uses the e-tron name across several different cars. Support for an e-tron GT does not establish support for a Q4, Q6 or Q8 e-tron. Include the full model designation when you contact us.

Can a Renault Zoe be tuned?

Selected Renault Zoe versions are also on the compatibility list: Q90, R75, R90, R110, R135, R210/Q210 and R240.

How much extra power can an electric car gain?

There is no single power increase that applies to every electric car. The answer depends on the model, battery, existing power version and the chosen tune. Hyperion confirms expected changes for your specification.

Ask what any quoted figures represent. Temporary launch or overboost figures and results measured at different battery charge levels are not automatically comparable. A useful performance comparison needs consistent conditions.

Will tuning improve my electric car’s range?

Extra range is not guaranteed. Tuning does not increase battery capacity, and using additional performance can increase energy consumption.

Real-world range also depends on speed, route, weather, battery condition, load and driving style. Choose tuning for the agreed performance and driving characteristics rather than an assumed increase in miles per charge.

How much does electric car tuning cost?

Hyperion provides an individual EV tuning quote after checking your car and the available option. Our petrol and diesel Stage 1 starting price is not an electric-car tuning price.

Tell us whether you prefer a Solihull appointment or a mobile visit. Any call-out charge is included in your quote.

What should I check before booking?

Tell us about existing faults, warning messages, previous tuning and recent dealer updates. Tuning should not be treated as a repair for an unresolved problem.

Check the requirements of your insurer and any relevant warranty provider. Ask how future dealer updates and a return to stock would be handled. Hyperion quotes restoration work separately; returning to stock does not establish that a previous modification is undetectable.

If your electric car is not listed, contact us with the full specification. We will check the available options rather than assume every EV can receive the same tune.
