DPF WARNINGS.
WHAT CAN CAUSE THEM?
A diesel particulate filter catches soot from the exhaust. It periodically burns off accumulated soot in a process called regeneration. Repeated short journeys and interrupted cleaning cycles can make it harder for the system to complete that process.
A DPF warning can be accompanied by reduced performance or a message asking for filter cleaning or service. A warning does not, by itself, prove that the filter needs replacement or that a delete is the right answer: the filter condition, sensors and wider engine operation need to be checked.

WHAT A DPF
DELETE DOES.
For a supported motorsport or off-road vehicle, a DPF delete remap changes the ECU functions that manage and monitor the DPF system. The required calibration must match the vehicle and its mechanical set-up.
A remap does not clean or physically unblock a filter. Hyperion Performance does not physically remove DPFs. Any required mechanical work must be assessed and carried out by a professional mechanic and is not included in the remap price.

Why does my DPF light keep coming on?
Short journeys and incomplete regeneration can contribute, but the light can also need investigation of the wider DPF system. The warning message, fault codes and vehicle condition help identify the cause.
What does a DPF delete remap do?
On a supported motorsport or off-road vehicle, it changes the ECU functions that manage and monitor the DPF system. It does not physically remove, clean or unblock the filter.
Do you physically remove the DPF?
No. Hyperion Performance provides the remap only. Customers are advised to have all required mechanical work assessed and carried out by a professional mechanic.
Will a longer drive always clear a DPF warning?
No. The correct response depends on the vehicle and the warning. Some handbook messages may describe a regeneration drive, while other conditions require servicing. Do not use a generic driving routine in place of the vehicle-specific instructions.
Is a DPF delete for public-road use?
No. Emissions-system deletes are for eligible motorsport and off-road use only, not public roads.
Can I combine DPF and EGR deletes?
For an eligible compatible application, our DPF + EGR delete package starts at £229. Both are remap services only; mechanical work is separate.
