A transmission control unit manages the operation of an electronically controlled gearbox. On supported units, a remap can change aspects of shift behaviour and transmission response.
The options available depend on the gearbox hardware and its ECU version. We check your transmission details rather than assuming every automatic or DSG gearbox can use the same calibration.

Is every automatic gearbox supported?
No. Availability depends on the gearbox and its control unit. We confirm support for your vehicle before booking.
Is DSG tuning the same as all gearbox tuning?
DSG is one type of transmission. Gearbox tuning can also apply to other supported transmission types; the service must match the gearbox actually fitted.
Can gearbox remapping fix slipping?
A remap should not be treated as a repair for a slipping or mechanically faulty gearbox. Have the cause diagnosed by a professional before considering a tune.
