The exhaust gas recirculation system sends a controlled amount of exhaust gas back into the intake to help reduce nitrogen oxide emissions. Over time, deposits can restrict a valve or make it stick.
Possible signs include rough idling, hesitation, reduced power and an engine management light. Those symptoms are shared by other faults too, so the EGR valve should not be blamed from a symptom alone. Fault codes, airflow readings and the condition of related parts help a professional identify the cause.

WHAT AN EGR
DELETE DOES.
An EGR delete remap disables the EGR function in the ECU on a supported motorsport or off-road vehicle. The method and any associated hardware requirements depend on the engine and ECU.
It does not repair a physically stuck or damaged valve, an EGR cooler leak or another mechanical fault. Any required mechanical work must be assessed and completed by a professional mechanic. Remap prices do not include that work.

What are common EGR valve symptoms?
Possible symptoms include uneven idling, hesitation, reduced power and an engine management light. They can also have other causes, so professional diagnosis is needed.
What does an EGR delete remap do?
For an eligible supported motorsport or off-road vehicle, it disables the EGR function in the ECU. Requirements are checked for the actual vehicle before booking.
Do P0401 or P0402 mean the EGR valve has failed?
These codes relate to EGR flow being too low or too high. The cause can involve the valve, airflow measurement or associated controls. The code guides diagnosis; it does not identify a failed part by itself.
Does a delete repair an EGR cooler leak?
No. A physical leak or damaged component needs professional mechanical assessment and repair. An ECU remap is not a substitute.
Is an EGR delete for public-road use?
No. Emissions-system deletes are for eligible motorsport and off-road use only, not public roads.
Can I combine this with a DPF delete?
For eligible compatible applications, the DPF + EGR delete package starts at £229. Mechanical removal, blanking or other hardware work is not included.
